Inessa Garder

Inessa Garder (b.1988) is a visual artist with a background in architecture. She studied architecture in Milan, and continued her education at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. She began her professional career as an architect, working in Milan, Rome and London, where a research-driven and large-scale approach became the foundation of her artistic practice.

Her early works were exhibited in London at FOCUS LDN and Chrom Art in 2016-2017.

Between 2019 and 2022 she lived in Northern India, painting and exhibiting at international art and film festivals. In 2021, her online solo exhibition Sacred Love was presented by the Nehru Cultural Centre and Indian Centre for Cultural Relations in London. From 2022 to 2024 she lived and worked in London’s Hackney Wick warehouse creative community, focusing on immersive community-based art experiences and co-curating the international exhibition Who Am I? (2024). Her recent practice focuses on multi-layered liquid oil painting and is exhibited internationally.
